[UGAF] new logo for Walmart

I've seen the star referenced in an advertising campaign. The campaign in general just didn't feel like Walmart. I agree that the star doesn't make a lot of sense.

Personal opinion: I don't think a branding change alone is going to change their image. When I stop hearing about greedy lawsuits and stories about how poorly they treat their employees, I may consider shopping there. Until then, I'm heading to Target and Costco for my purchases. :)


Btw - Wade - did the social get together for this group ever happen? I didn't see anything about it on this list.

What do you guys think? I'm glad that they finally ditched the hyphen.  
It's always bothered me. I'm also all for Walmart's efforts to improve their image. This is a step in the right direction, but what's up with the starburst?
