[UGAF] Photoshop question

So I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how to get rid of the feather on my selection in Photoshop CS3! I am trying to select a portion of an image and blur it using the Gaussian Blur function...but I don't want it to feather and bring any white it on the edges.

I know I have done this before, but for the life of me cannot get rid of the stupid feather. So I am calling in the experts! Any idea what I am missing? See attached photo if confused on what I am trying to do....
