[UGAF] can't open AI files in PS

Although it's sad if this is the reason, I think I figured it out. The  
files were created with AI 13. If I cut and paste the contents of the  
file into a new AI 14 file, save it, and then open it in Photoshop, it  
works fine.

Has anyone else had problems (or read about others having problems)  
opening AI 13 files in Photoshop 11? I don't expect Adobe to support  
all legacy versions but not even one back?
