Position:
PHP Guru needed for long-term pt contract
Consultant
Description:
This is a part-time, long-term contract that works great for either a freelancer or someone with a W2 job that would like extra income.
LOCATION
You'll work from...wherever you want to. This is a remote (telecommuting) position.
WORK COMPOSITION
Mix of maintenance/support and new development.
SCHEDULE
You'll put in 5-10 hours per week on the maintenance/support side of things, and work on the new development projects at your own pace. You're required to attend to the maintenance/support items on a daily basis (M-F), but the timing is up to you.
COMMITMENT
We're interested in a long-term relationship with at least a 1 year contract.

Required skills:
We're looking for the perfect talent who:
- dreams in PHP 5 objects
- is familiar with Apache
- can make a browser do anything with HTML + CSS
- can get around on a Linux command line
- can figure what users are _really_ trying to ask for and reduce it to an SQL query
- works well with other humans
- does not need to be micromanaged (or managed)
- is unfailingly reliable
- enjoys amazing their co-workers with creative, bug-free code
Bonus points for:
- Java skills
- Adobe Flex (Flash Builder) skills
- iPhone SDK skills
- formal training in programming (college, tech school, etc)
Required experience:
At least 3 years of professional PHP experience.
Benefits:
You'll be compensated by a combination of monthly retainer for the maintenance/support time, and project bounties for completed projects. Hourly rate? That's up to you: your speed and quality will determine it. Our budget is for a part-time position, with the possibility of growing into full-time compensation down the road.
