I have recently been doing a bit of flex work and have really enjoyed
it. Adobe's flex builder is a really nice tool. I am normally don't
care for eclipse based products that much but, Adobe has done a really
great job with the flex builder. I am also, really enjoying working
with AS3.
On one project I just JSON encoded objects to exchange data between
flex and php and it worked great.
The projects that I have done are for a small groups of users under
controlled circumstances. Personally I would still use Javascript on
something that is has a large audience. That is mostly because I
have much more experience using Javascript with large audiences.
However, I would love to hear from anyone that has deployed flex to a
large audience. I am just not ready to take that leap, yet.
