[UPHPU] Passwords

I used to use a password generator, but now I typically make up
acronyms. Such as

Ilug4fs!(I love user groups for free software!)

That way it's easy to remember. How ever if I need to come up with a
bunch of different passwords for different services than I have to write
them down. I don't like having to look them up all the time. I think
it's debatable which is more of a security threat(having all your
passwords written down, or using the same password), I tend to think
using the same password is more of a threat(but I'm lazy). If there
are services I need to access and restart frequently I tend to use the
same password for all of them unless I have a reason not to(like having
to share the password with different people). Though I really try to
find ways not to share passwords, and I discourage users from giving
their passwords to IT or managers.

We also use ldap with pam, and it's simplified things a lot.
