Thanks for all of the awesome replies everyone - I got it up and running using 
Apache's built in stuff but loved the information the other reverse proxies 
available.

I just wanted to throw another option out there that I have used in the past 
as
well to help with configuring this type of solution. what you are talking 
about
here is a reverse proxy. squid can do a great job as a reverse proxy that is
pretty robust and lightweight (loosely).

If you have any questions about squid, please feel free to email me or the

One thing to note is that you want to make sure that your proxy is secure and
setup properly if you are using apache as the reverse proxy. I would also 
second
nginx as a great alternative to another reverse proxy.
